The following are some of the benefits of becoming a member in CCF:
- CCF conducts 3-4 meetings in a year where experts in the field are invited to offer guest lecture / workshops, conduct seminars in areas of interest to counselors. Members get to attend them for free.
- CCF conducts Case Study Circle meetings once in a month. It will be facilitated by experienced senior counselors. A member presents a live case that is taken up for discussion. Members attend these meetings also for free. The cases are also reviewed at the end of year as a follow-up to get updates on the cases presented
- CCF organizes paid workshops, International seminars periodically. Members get a discounted fee for such seminars
- Some of the other organizations with whom CCF collaborates offer discounts for CCF members for their seminars / workshops. Members can avail of these offers
- Members trained in Career Guidance can conduct these seminars on behalf of CCF and get duly compensated on a case to case basis
- The details about RPC members are being posted in our website which would facilitate the general public to have access to their services.
- Many organizations in need of counselors approach CCF with their requirements for part-time or full-time counselors. CCF circulates such requirements to all members
- CCF also conducts specific programs for training counselors in general counseling as also in school counseling. These programs are offered to members at a discounted fee
- Most importantly, members get to network with some of the senior counselors in Chennai and benefit from their knowledge and experience
- Senior members will also be trained as supervisors so that they can guide interns / students who wish to pursue counseling as a career

Membership Criteria
Eligibility:
II/III year UG students, PG students, M.phil/PhD scholars of Psychology/Social work, Counselling Psychology/ Clinical Psychology and allied disciplines.
Documents Needed:
A photocopy of the student ID card with the membership application.

Junior Professional Counselor (JPC) Membership:
Eligibility:
Practising Counselorswith a background of post-graduation in Psychology /Counselling psychology/ Clinical psychology/ Social work/ allied disciplines, under continued supervision can join as JPCs
Documents Needed:
He/She has to submit one letter of reference from an academician or a practitioner who has got experience of more than 5 years .
A photocopy of PG degree certificate/provisional certificate/mark sheet along with the application form
A letter of reference from their supervisor

Note:
- You are required to complete 2000 supervision hours as a JPC in the 5 years tenure to move to a RPC. These hours are divided as below:
- 500 hours – Direct Counseling (as a counselor)
- 1500 hours – Attending Case Study Circle (CSC) meetings, workshops, volunteering services, seminars, conferences, professional development, observation of training sessions, self-care journaling (proper tracking), personal therapy, self-work etc.
- The completion of the CCFs Ethics Assessment is a mandate for the members to continue as JPC category. If the criteria is not satisfied, the member will be moved to the Affiliate Membership (AM) category, unless they start practising with supervision.
- Non practising JPC cannot become RPC

Eligibility:
Counselors who have completed their post-graduation in Psychology /Counselling psychology/ Clinical psychology/ Social work or allied disciplines and have 5 years of experience or more as practicing counselors can join as RPCs
Documents Needed:
An experience certificate given by organization/s that the cousnelor is working in for the last 5 years. Freelancers may submit a self-declaration form
A letter of reference from an academicians or a practitioner who has more than 10 years of experience and a photocopy of PG degree certificate / provisional certificate / Mark sheet along with the application form
He/She could be a member of a national or international professional body

PG diploma holders from any of the behavioural sciences
Workers in allied fields of academics, education, legal, medical and pharmacology are also eligible to become members
Any individual who is interested in the aims and objectives of CCF is also eligible to become a member.

A note on why He/She wants to join CCF has to be submitted along with the application form
Note:
Affiliate members cannot participate in the election to cast their votes and cannot hold any positions as office bearers in the foundation
