In this world of innovation and invention, it is a necessary to upgrade and gain knowledge about dynamic advancements in any profession one is in. CCF’s Case study circle wing offered one such experience in the month of October. We had a field trip to Buddhi Clinic with 18 members who were enthusiastic in participating and clarifying doubts.
The meeting began with an amazing introduction by Dr Yuvaraja, the Head of Physiotherapy department, Buddhi clinic. He mapped out a head injury trauma case (male) who was treated with a multidisciplinary approach; both as in-patient and out- patient. Dr. Yuvaraj’s presentation via visuals (ppt) and lecture provided us with wonderful insight into the various techniques and therapies that Buddhi clinic offers through their innovative and patient centric labs (e.g., Mind lab, Mobility lab, Neuromodulation lab, Brain mapping lab and Cam lab). They help in treating conditions like ADHD, Autism, Alzheimer, brain tumor, dementia, head injury, stroke, and other neuro development issues from pediatric to geriatric. Our CSC facilitator Dr. Saras Bhaskar shed light on integrative assessment approach, periodic reassessments, addressing care giver distress and follow-up of clients.
Soon after the lecture, we were taken on a facility tour by Dr. Rema. The technical staff in each lab took time to out to explain their services and how they function. It was interesting to know about the cutting-edge modern equipment that are used to transform dysfunction to optimal function, whether it is physical or mental. We could see the combination of modern scientific advances (Neuromodulation, Neuropsychic- pharmacology, Physical and occupational therapy, counseling, and therapy) with the wisdom of ancient medical traditions (Acupuncture, Acupressure, Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Hydrotherapy, Mud Therapy, Magneto therapy) which offers complete brain and mind care that restores, rehabilitates, and rejuvenate the individual. To conclude, learning is a continuous process to improve your knowledge, skill, and expertise and CCF leaves no stone unturned in guiding their members. Thank you CCF.
