Case Study Circle Meeting (CSC) is a flagship acticvity of CCF. It takes place every month and will be facilitated by an experienced senior counselor. Members present their cases and look for suggestions to deal with the cases. Fellow counselors and the facilitator guide them further. Budding counsellors learn the nuances and challenges in counselling process.
Maleeka Riyaz is a counseling psychologist, holding a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Islamic Psychology from Virtual Atlantis University. She has also been recognized as the Best Outgoing Student from the Department of Psychology at CTTE College, Sembium.

In her quest for continuous learning, she has participated in multiple training programs across diverse areas such as yoga and positive psychology for managing life and career, graphology, ethical practice in counseling and psychotherapy, NLP for self-improvement, basics of counseling, healing the inner child, fundamentals of digital marketing and entrepreneurship conducted by reputed institutions.
Maleeka is deeply committed to promoting mental health awareness and frequently conducts sensitization programs in schools, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being. Currently, she works as a Research Assistant at Evidentia Research Solutions and has been an active member of CCF since 2019.

Dr. Chitra Aravind is a RCI-Certified Consultant Psychologist and in the field of psychology for two decades. She did her Ph.D. and M.Phil in University of Madras. She has also done her diploma in Human Resource Management at Loyola College. She founded MANAS-A pursuit of happiness, where she is playing varied roles in the gamut of psychology such as trainer, researcher, counselor, author, speaker, life coach, psychotherapist etc. Her research work has been published in journals like Journal of Police and Criminal Psychology, International Research Journal of Social Sciences, The International Journal of Indian Psychology, Journal of Indian Academy in Applied Psychology, Indian Journal of Health and Well-being, Indian Journal of Positive Psychology, The International Journal of Indian Psychology, Indian Police Journal, Business Psychology (book) etc. She is serving as peer reviewer for International journals. She has conducted workshops and lectures in the field of Resilience, Leadership Development, Personality Development, Prevention of Sexual harassment Act (POSH), Communication Skills, Stress Management, Prevention of child abuse, Emotional Management, Life Skills Training etc. She has won various awards for her academic pursuits including IAAP-NITTTR award for Best PhD Paper and Dipak Bhat award for Best Paper Presentation. Dr Saras Bhaskar has over 30 years of Psychological Counseling and HR Management experience. Her belief is that every human being has the potential to succeed, and her mission is to empower people to discover/rediscover their full potentials. She objectively guides and assist the help seekers to incorporate those skills.
As a Counseling Psychologist, she has mastered in identifying psychopathology and offering necessary therapeutic guidance to clients and their families. As a Corporate Consultant, she is well-recognized for her skills to train human capital which is essential for an organisation’s growth. Sharada Nair is a School Counsellor, CBT Therapist, and Counselling Supervisor, with 25 years of active practice in the field of Mental Health. From a Medical and Psychiatric Social Work background, the 8 years before this was spent actively involved in being a part of the Indian Naval family, volunteering in any capacity called for. Case coordinator for Children of the World, Mumbai; Counsellor and Social Service coordinator for The Scholar High School, Colaba and St Xavier’s Boys Academy, Mumbai; Treasurer, Naval Wives Welfare Assn, Port Blair; Scrutiny Officer-Adoption, ICSW, Chennai; are some of the roles she has held in the early years.
Presently (and for the last 18 years), School Counsellor, Sishya School, Adyar, she is also a part of the EC of IAPS and one of the founding members. As a member of CCF from 2004, she is passionate about the professional development of Indian mental health professionals, interdisciplinary support systems and the concept of- ‘Own your own mental health’.
Her interest and belief that the mental health of children is the foundation of life long mental health and awareness, has been instrumental in her volunteering to assist Mrs. Arundhati Swami in setting up the CCF school counselling training programme, as well as establishing a partnership (Psyenergy) with like-minded colleagues to reach out to wider group with workshops, training programmes, parenting programmes and career planning programme, in and outside Chennai.
