Hailing from a traditional Hindu family, drawing Kolam/Rangoli is a must learn skill as it adds more happiness and positivity to the home. For each occasion we start the day by drawing a kolam/rangoli at the main entrance

I developed interest towards rangoli designs from my dhi (elder sister). She excitingly tries to innovate rangoli designs during every festival which makes each passerby to stare for a minute and wonder at them. Some passersby have even taken snaps of her kolams on their phone.

She encouraged me to try coloring kolam/rangoli when I used to throw tantrums during my young days; I wasn't even able to draw a decent star. From then, till now, on any occasion/festival, she always gives me credit for the rangolis coloured by me to my liking.

She realized that drawing the kolam/rangoli is not my cup of tea even before I did and helped me to explore flower kolam/rangoli with simple patterns to protect me from unnecessary criticism from others. She is my forever savior and best friend.
